2a is definitely great. It's the whole reason i even learned flash to be honest.
Anything that 2advanced did, so just visit their site and portfolio.

here's a few that I've bookmarked that simply rock:

http://www.tetsoo.com
http://www.klickstudio.com
http://www.b7ven.com
http://www.cruciallimit.com
http://www.intellipage.com
http://www.subwaydesigns.net/05.html

...and many, many, many more. of course, http://www.unflux.com is always a fav!

That's just me tho.

Well, here are some excellent ones:

derbauer.de
f150.fordvehicles.com, a 2A product, click on 'learn more' and you'll get Rick Titus talk to you, go for high bandwith, amazing 3D stuff as well.
jonathan-clark.com a photographer, wait for the images to come alive
24-7media.de ps: try to scare the fly
idigitalemotion.com excellent flash and graphics

And before you get an overdose, let me end by one of my favorites, an excellent example of music and photography, a soothing atmosphere and excellent design imho:
HIPNOTIKA

If you want more, lemme know :)

kind regards
Tisse

It's nice indeed, however the menu is exactly the same as an open source menu that used to be offered up by superhere.net (which was a truely amazing flash site, but was taken down and became yohami.com which I have no idea what will look like because it hasn't opened yet)

well, I realize that too. It does suck that the codes and ideas are all
from open source, but it was put together nicely and is really clean.
so, in that respect, I give it props.

Personally, I love the design and everything on that site. It's not the most advanced flash site. But It's in my opinion, clean and efficent.

I'm trying to learn how to make stuff like that. But I'm a complete n00b.

I'm just gonna stick to html for now.

jax ur being pretty closed minded, if you think thats the best flash site you have ever seen, you arent realizing the true purpose of flash. Flash isnt just an animation tool, its also a great tool for backend programming, interactive designing, etc. Im not saying xeo's site is bad, but it gets old lol. try some of these sites, and let them wow you.

atno, i cannot even hazard a guess how long that must have taken to put together!
As my forums are down till wednesday i was like planning for a new board and not being that clever with Swish, much as i wish i was, i decided to move away from the help side and have best Swish sites and other swishy things instead...toddled off to look for the sites and found this beauty lolol...needless to say it will be added to the new board!

The spider yea its real cute atno, and the way things open up like the animation controller and audio..wow...sooon you'll be able to choose your new skin i noticed too, and the music was very nice, i'm guessing its all flash atno..right!

FusionDesigner,
lololol

I go to http://www.bestflashanimationsite.com every week, they have whole archives of the best voted flash sites. and ad 5 or 6 new ones each week. NP, that will take you hours to just go thru the archives. :D And for anyone else interested in the site, they sort them in categories, from Corporate, to motion Animation, best sound, Best Navigation, and so on. I would definatly suggest making it a permanent bookmark for all flash users! Not to mentions pixel fonts, program suggestions and everything else!

ego? I'm always looking for business. what does that have to do with
ego? I think you misunderstood my post as promoting myself as the best

company. ;) 8) I know for a fact my site sucks, is not NEARLY one of the
best sites out there. I can think of 100 others, easy....

I knew exactly what UNFLUX was saying, and appreciate the offer. UNFLUX also knows me as well and knows, I have the ability and desire to do this kind of thing on my own (the only thing I currently have lacking is the experience and knowledge). I'd actually prefer him and lostinbeta to do one up, but I want to learn flash and will.

And in regards to UNFLUX's ego -- I seriously suspect that over time as he and Lostinbeta put their heads and talents together, you'll see a flash site from UNFLUX that will definitely be considered one of the best. Correct me if I'm mistaken, UNFLUX, but I don't think you've done any serious modifications to unflux.com in some time, have you?

Believe me, if I ever have a serious need for a good flash design job, you'll be the first I ask.

First, I really appreciate the compliments. Time will tell if we can rival a
studio like 2a. I have the confidence we can do as nice of work, but our
client-base is nowhere near as high-profile. So that would certainly make
a difference.

As for atno's company site, I knew he would say that actually. I knew he
would want to do it on his own, so I was kidding in that regard.

You are correct, the current unflux site is a year and a half old already
(how time flies!). Our new site has been laid out and ready to be put
together, but client projects have take our time from it. Over the next few
weeks, we are planning to get going on it again. It should be a vast
improvment from the current one, but we're not trying to take any
awards or anything. We just want an updated look, and nice image for
the company. Our philosophy is best described as: we like our work to
speak for itself.

now i'm not being flippent here sharkshark, but they are listed under "Flash sites"
And i'll look after my tea at the links you so kindly provided, i have no right to be picky as i don't flash, but they need to be simlar in content to 2aadvanced, thats what i'm looking for, that kind of quality...having said that mediastudios, well, surpasses even 2a advanced, thats already in mine lolol i put unflux in too.

Thought this might appeal to the flash users here, If you have been to http://www.kigot.com, you have seen those really cool animated backgrounds (look at the logo, and also in the audio) well I now know what program they used to build it and how!!1 LOL i am too kool :P, anyway, this site:

http://www.advanceflash.net

has animations of that type for sale, however if you want to make your own try getting Particle Illusion from:

http://www.wondertouch.com/

you can get the demo or actually purchase it. The program is $399 but trust me, its well worth it in my opinion :D. Ill be learning to use it here in the next few days, then its time to build a new site!!! Just passing along some new info :) Say thank you Sharkie!!! LOL

OK...this may not be one of the best flash sites IMO. but this animations was just too much fun watching for me not to post it. BE WARNED HOWEVER!!! There is some serious load time on it, it is not user friendly since it takes forever, and if you are on a slow connection, it may pause on you. Just go back and watch it from the begininng, it will strighten itself out. LOL like i said, its not one of the best flash animations out there. But It is and excellent animation in its own right. I think you may enjoy it. LEt me know!!

Please get rid of your image signature link in your profile. You cannot link to an image on your computer's hard drive. You need to upload it to an internet host first and then link to it.

Not to mention the dimensions of the image are obviously out of the bounds of the forum guidelines.

And click the links written in whatever language that is in the tokyoplastic site. 1 is their site, another is tailer animation for the new version they are supposedly releasing, and a third one to the new aiwa animation.

As for the music on http://www.Kigot.com yes like ATNO/TW had said it is John Williams the Composer. I Went through a few movies clips and came up with some similiar tracks from:

Lord of the rings, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Harry Potter and E.T.

Regardless, That site rocks the new 2A isnt as clean as the older versions also, So I downgraded them already....

I don't know if anyone has posted this, but JK Rowling's website is probably my current favourite flash website! Even if you aren't a Harry Potter fan, it's still really cool to play with and has a bunch of easter eggs on it.

Because I think its an excellent web site though still unfinished, I usually bring Flash web sites of outstanding quality, this is something entirely different - not Flash!

I brought it mainly for others to see what can be done with vectors - I like it a lot and there is a story behind it. running bear and white dove loved one another, they could'nt be together as the two tribes hated one another and so running bear and white dove died together nice story eh...lolol

Feedback would be nice!

But this isn't a website...its just a flash movie....better suited to placed on a website like Newgrounds or something similar.

The definition for website:

Quote:
A set of interconnected webpages, usually including a homepage, generally located on the same server, and prepared and maintained as a collection of information by a person, group, or organization.

Perhaps this is better suited in the digital art forum, if anything...

Hi guys,

I stumbled on a website for some kind of 3D architectural modelling business, looks really cool - but no contact details put on the site! But what really took my mind away was that its FULLY 3D, I can even use my arrow keys to navigate like a game!

Anyway, I've never seen a site like this - so I thought I'd share it with all of you..check it out:

http://www.gogofrog.com/userdata/TBusinessT1

I really like the showroom that they have of interior designs! I'm in the middle of designing my own 3D website on that gogofrog site..feels like I'm designing a room!

Btw, I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post to...I just thought I'd share the information around, cuz the website seems to be free.

its pretty average.....for a business site its too annoying..most people looking for that kind of information wont care for the 3d environment, they just want to see the pictures and get information... takes too long to view all the pictures considering you having to walk around to see them all. not very practical.

nothing new here. not innovating in any way just uses cheap effects which overpower some of the good architecture they have in their folio.

think kind of flash works cool for some stuff, i dont think it works for these guys though.

yea I agree with dro1d. It completely lacking as a proffesional site. I mean I suck at flash, and that site is beyond my level, but I can still say it isn't anything to write home about from my experience of looking at other sites.

An architectial modeling sites best bet would be to showcase some individual 3d environments...Quicktime has QTVR which, the end result is pretty amazing. Here are some examples..... http://www.virtualconcepts.co.za/qtvr/
The great thing about those images, they are realtively easy to set up. I have seen some that where full 360 degrees. I beleive for those they just cut up a panaromic image into 6 box sides....

that would be the way to go IMO, err why does that site have to resize my whole browser? and why does it never seem to finish loading..... hosted on a free site? Nothing proffesional about that.

It is an interesting concept though, I bet it could be done much better however

I agree with the last few posts. I think this is a poor method of info delivery for this type of business. Otherwise, I just don't think the Flash is that good. In fact, quite the opposite. :(

the best flash site is newgrounds.com, not the graphics on the site themselves, but what it represents. This site contains many thousands of flash movies, which can be submitted by anyone, and are watched and commented on by thousands of viewers (no, this is not a joke, if a movie is any good it usally gets a thousand views), best movies get much more.

don't know if it's been mentioned already, probably has, but personally this is one of the coolest flash sites i've seen although it doesn't make much sense as to what they're advertising or whatever but it uses 3d in flash, cellshaded graphics, looks real sweet. check it out:

http://www.tokyoplastic.com

UPDATE: Click on the japanese writing underneath the Enter site heading to open the flash site..

UPDATE: sorry one more update, u gotta click stuff a lot on the site in order to go to different parts of it.. even if it doesn't seem like a navigation thing, it probably is.. like if u see the japanese flag when u first launch it sitting there.. click it to start something.. kind of confusing first time on the site.

My name is Eric. I have stumbled into this site just this morning. Googled it and found it. Anyways I just made my site public just yesterday I was hoping that you guys can stop by and take a few minutes of your time to critique it. I've seen some of the Flash links here and quite impressed but mine is in a different calliber than what you guys see all the time. Anyways here my site http://graffickattackcreations.com/

Hey sithlord, if you are looking for critiques you need to post this in Ozzus Website Review Section.

As a few heads up.

1) Posting your own site in 'which is the best flash site ever' just seems a little conceited...lol.

2) People are going to want to know what exactly makes your site a 'different caliber' than any other Flash site.

I personally can't stand those type of sites because they just seem choppy and slow, plus the perspective is really distorted, not to mention the graphics are extremely lacking.. If you're going to make an interface that is 3d like a game, then I want the 3d environment to be like a level out of Unreal or Quake/Doom.. I don't want some clean boring looking room that looks like a drawing that a child made..

Sorry, not trying to flame the author of that post, just expressing my opinion on those types of sites..

not too hard...
if you're familiar with myspace , this is how i did it...

under "who i'd like to meet" i have a divider class named "mainmenu" with the embed flash.

then under "about me" between my <style> tags i have this:

Code: [ Select ]
.mainmenu { left: 50% ; top: 120px; height:700px ; width: 800px; margin-left: -400px; border: none; position: absolute ; visibility: visible ;}

thats about it for the flash, everything else is hidden using visible:hidden ; display none.

and a skinny background image that repeats -y to create the dropshadown .

Hello,
I came across this site the other day, I thought it was amazing. The water looks amazing and the bio page is cool too! IT's for a local band here in London ON, Canada.

Obviously nobody has ever visited http://www.mellowmushroom.com. As far as interaction and animation go, this is one of the best I've ever seen. I wonder what they paid for that beast and how many guys it took to write the actionscript and do the server-side programming. I would love to see the FLA files for that site.

just for the sake of clarity, it looks like ikmaakwebsites is actually a rip off of kigot's old site, whereas kigot has changed their site significantly to what's now on http://www.kigot.com

I'm sure it's been mentioned here before, but my vote would go to http://dontclick.it/. Though I think r_t's link (http://www.semillero.net/semillero.htm) would be a very close second.

Edit: Oh, and I almost forgot: Scion's extremely bizarre http://www.want2bsquare.com/.

Howdy folks, I haven't been here in a long time. I came in because of a school assignment I'm working on, I need a couple of sites that I feel exhibit exemplary design features.
Naturally, I remembered UNFLUX's work and wanted to use a couple of the UNFLUX designs as references.

UNFLUX, I hope you don't mind I'm citing your work.
