Hey folks- an update. Here's a couple things I did today: 1. Removed the RAM with the CPU still installed - got a beep every second that went away when I put the ram back in. 2. Removed the CPU (Read below) - got nothing. No display or beeps. 3. Removed the CPU and RAM - same lack of success, nothin...

I would do that, but like I posted earlier, I am unable to get any kind of display, even with a different video card. I tried on all display ports and still got nothing. I took out the battery to reset the CMOS and got nothing (no display). The computer just turns on and all the drives startup like ...

Hey folks, it's been a long time since I've been on here and have a question for you, the community. I have a friends computer here that starts up with fans running like normal, but puts out no display. No hard drive activity or cd drive activity, other than the normal post-time stuff. Things I have...

My hard drive intended for my backup oddly lost all my files. out of about 98 gigs of stuff on there i only got back about 7 gigs. i'll look for the pict...

Hey folks. It's been a while. I've been having some recent t23 problems myself, again. Sometimes when I first pull the computer out of my bag to turn it on, it's had time to cool down, i get one beep, then continous series's of three beeps. I then shake the computer around for a little, cycling thro...

I'm glad I could help you. The T23's are nice little laptops. Very sturdy seems like to me. Glad I could help.

One thing you could do is completely take the notebook apart. Check the solder points on the motherboard and if any are loose solder them back in. Just be careful not to solder points back together that aren't supposed to be together. Basically solder carefully.

I heard that if you leave it unplugged and with the battery taken out for about a week then you will get some more life out of it. I would take out the hdd see if it boots. Try running with minimal setup. The system itself, 1 ram stick, and the hard drive. Try that and report back. Also some specs w...

I have a major problem with windows. Boo... I recently had another melt down of the same sort to where windows would no longer boot. This had happened before but what I did then was run a checkdisk let that fix it and then replace a corrupted MUP.SYS file. Of course I did this from a friends Athlon6...

Alright. Well i've permanently found the problem. This requires that you disassemble the notebook solder a piece back on, and put it back together. The motherboard had a magnet-looking piece that got pulled off the mobo. Soldering this back on will solve the problem. When I get home from school I wi...

I've got good news. Not The only way i can get it to work is to hold up vertically but a little bit toward your self. Then turn it on that way. If you move it past 90" degrees it shuts off the hard drive and the fan starts doing that wierd stuff. There seems to be a lot of problems like this wi...

Ya. We never figured out what was wrong with it. But the owner now has a new notebook that works so i'm free to do whatever with the t23. We think it is a serious hardware problem. We shall see. As of right now I have no solution. I'll try to get it sometime next week and see what i can do with it.
