And you're worried about a few pounds before you host your event? Sounds like you shouldn't be concerned.
I'd love to change the world, but they won't give me the source code.

Trying really hard maintain my organic diet. But sometimes I slip in a few french fries. LOL

Thats always really interesting on those healthy living shows on tv when they keep track of everything someone eats for an entire week, then they lay it all out in front of them so that they can see the crap they've ingested. Its amazing how much nasty brown things and fried food there is. The best and simplest advice I ever got for eating healthier was to make my meals colorful, that means to make something like a salad with lettuce and spinach and purple cabbage, then add carrots and tomatoes and crumbled blue cheese.

One thing my wife does is she doesn't shop in the middle of the grocery store, she stays along the outer wall because thats where the fresh produce and stuff is at. And if high fructose corn syrup is one of the ingredients of something, we try and find an equivalent without it. When we cook at home, if something calls for sugar we substitute it either with stevia or with honey. There's all kinds of little tricks you can do that don't take any extra effort.
Like Mr Spork, I also write about my interest in alcoholic beverages.

You should be careful with some crackers, some are sky-rocketing with calories, it's so not worth it.
I personally chose whole grain crackers. Only 80 calories per pack.
