Another Blow For Australia.

Cyclone Hamish is looming off the Queensland Coast, and its said it will hit Bundaberg by tomorrow. They are saying its right on par with Hurricane Katrina, Read here - http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/story/ ... 61,00.html

They are also saying it could hit the NSW central coast, which is only 1,5 hours from Sydney, but the storm front is almost 100km wide, so it will hit us too.

Just what Australia needs a, ANOTHER natural disaster.

Is it just me, or does a cyclone being a hurricane that spins in the other direction make you think their formation has a lot to do with gravity ?

I wonder what would happen if we detonated a bomb that dispursed a huge cloud of magnetic dust within the eye, or on the eye-wall of one of these things.

Yeah, but its in the wrong place. Bundaberg is around 1500kms from Victoria where the fires are.

We've had fires, floods and now a cyclone in the last couple of weeks, and all of it has missed NSW, NSW is between queensland and victoria, so I am just waiting for something to happen here, we don't have cyclones (usually), and we've had a few small fires, we get killer hail storms, so just waiting for one of them ha.

Pretty crap news like. We can hope it is just an overhyped cyclone/hurricane like the one that was supposed to hit New Orleans last year which was reported to be even worse than Katrina.
