In talks that were reportedly initiated by LaLa's people, Apple has come to acquire the affordable, innovative music streaming service. While that's good news for Apple as they will inherit Bill Nguyen and the rest of his engineering team/talent, LaLa users may soon find themselves in a hole. The service, which had a deal to allow streaming songs unlimited times for 10 cents a piece, will likely change dramatically in the coming weeks or months. How it will change is not entirely clear as of yet, but many users are expecting to lose all the money they've invested at this point, thinking that the deals will fall through or that the service will integrate into other, more costly, systems.

I wonder if Apple is going to inherit Nguyen like Sun Microsystems inherited Widenius.

Not entirely sure how this will be a bad thing. At the end of the day, it will be successful in providing another means of income for the iTunes shop in the way that Spotify provides an income for 7digital.
