Apple is announcing a new line of iPods today as well as a new Apple TV.

The iPod Touch has been upgraded with the same new display as the iPhone 4, and they tossed a couple of cameras on there to allow HD video recording and video chat. The iPod Nano now has a little touch screen.

I believe the keynote is going on at the moment but I can't find a link to it.

The Apple TV is just a device you hook up to your TV to stream TV shows, movies, etc. Kind of like iTunes for your TV.

As an avid Apple Tv user I still feel the key to this device is a subscription movie/tv show service, you can have all the movies you want stored on your computer but for most people they find the expense does not out weigh the convenience of such a device.

don't get me wrong, I love my apple tv, but unlike most people I have ripped dozens of seasons of tv shows and hundreds of movies with the aneesoft video converter for instant streaming.

I heard it has 40GB hard drive, Wow that's huge. That's a lot of movies, music videos. Great stuff.

Honestly, 40GB is next to nothing if you plan on storing HD content.

Apple has already taken down the online Apple Store ahead of its music event beginning later today. The move is unusually early, as Apple often waits until closer to its presentations, and supports beliefs that the company has a slew of new devices in store.
