1 week and 1 day away from the season opener. :)

I'm looking forward to the upcoming NFL season. With young kids, I haven't gotten to enjoy much over the past few years. This year, however, I'm taking some me-time.

It's going to be great when the Cowboys go un-defeated and take statue number 6! That's right. Uh-huh. That's what I said! Deal with it.

With your artistic abilities, I knew you had to have a great imagination, but this just puts it over the top! ;)

Ha! <reality>This may be the only point in the season that I can boast. :)</reality>

You know, the season opener is Tennessee v. Pittsburgh. I wonder if you or ATNO would care to make a prediction. Hmmm?

I want to see vick and favre do remarkably well to spite people who are more concerned about others than themselves.

Steelers are strong at home games, but I think we've got something for them. I predict a 'W' for TN by 3.

EDIT: Changed by 6 to by 3 to go with my gut feeling. All in all, a LOT of places have the Steelers up on odds, but show a close game and I just can't resist a chance to fire up ATNO, so keeping TN for the win! :D

Favre apparently still believes in himself. In fact, so much so that he decided spring training is no longer necessary. Yeah, I wouldn't put much stock in that vote be it to spite others or not.

As for Vick, well, I vote we let sleeping dogs lie. *da dum tish*

I don't think there's any question on my pic. Steelers Nation baby!

And this year will make lucky 7 for us! (and that isn't stretching my imagination a whole lot either *lol)

Okay, but the Cowboys will have a swanky stadium, at least.

Their new stadium is GORGEOUS! Wish the Steelers would have built something similar when they built Heinz field. With ours being an open air stadium, I suppose we continue to have the feel of good old time football in rain sleet snow and hail, but it sure would have been nice to have a Superbowl played here in my lifetime. Now it's never going to happen *pout*

It is a nice stadium. That's good, too - I bet sales will increase. This year, ticket holders will have something interesting to look around at while the games are going on!

I refuse to watch any games played in Dallas this year. I think getting the rule changed to accommodate a TV screen that's been hit by every kicker on the team multiple times so far is retarded. It's going to slow the game down and make it irritating to watch.

That said, I have no freaking clue what the hell is going on in Tampa Bay. I'm almost afraid to watch any of the games here. Everyone I was familiar with hss been cut, retird, fired, or traded.
Strong with this one, the sudo is.

Their first game is at home...against Da Boys. :)

I think they're going to end up raising those jumbo-trons to get them out of the way.

[off topic]I suppose I've been around long enough I could get away with plugging my sports forum. *lol. Anyone interested in sports chatter and a free football pool is more than invited to sign up and play. Just look for the Pick thread links in the Slingin Sammy's Pool forum. We post the picks in the threads. It's a phpbb forum so you're familiar with the concept. We'd love to see a lot of new members playing and talking up some sports crap this season! I'll be posting the first week's pick thread on Sunday.[/off topic]

No need to brag about the Steelers. They speak for themselves on the turf.
