WKRP in Cincinnati was a television series that starred Jan Smithers as Bailey and Loni Anderson as Jennifer.

wasn't there an original that aired in the 50's?

The earliest television show I can remember is the Great Space Coaster.

I loved that show.

I can't find anything about an earlier version as IMDB, but apparently there was an attempt to resurrect the 78-82 show as The New WKRP in the early 90's that didn't last very long. I don't even remember seeing the new one at all. Looks like only Mr Carlson (Gordon Jump) and Herb Tarleck (Frank Bonner) remained from the original show.
