Best Cartoon Ever?
Recently me and some of my friends have had some discussions on the topic wich saturday morning cartoon is the best, or rather one of the best. Now we have taken the discussion from the streets to forums and now I ask you, which is in your point of view the Best Cartoon Ever?
I say it's the short from 1957 by Friz Freleng for Warner Bros, The Three Little Bops.

I was around in 57 but I don't remember that one. There was one in the 90s called Twisted Felix The Cat, which was pretty good. I don't know if I could pick a favorite anyway.

They don't make cartoons like they used to, Especially for Saturdays, it's a shame. Anyway I'd have to say, the Bugs Bunny and Tweety Hour in paticularly Marvin the Martian and the Road Runner bits. Also, Animaniacs (especially the Good Feathers), G.I Joe, and the Transformers (the "original" episodes only). Now, if I have to pick one, then, my all time favorite is the Bugs Bunny Episode (Dont' know the title) with Daffy Duck and Elmer Fudd and Daffy's bill keeps getting shot off until finally it starts to just fall off on it's own. Elmer just points his gun at him and it falls...LOL, I love it. :)

Invader Zim ... The emperor's new school ... South-Park (If that counts)

The original poster only mentioned saturday morning cartoons but if you include current prime time animation, the cartoons are much better today than tweetie bird, buggs bunny and the rest of the 50s TV collection.

You got to be kidding me. Those are classics Warner Brother are the true kings of cartoon comedy. The newer episodes from the early 80's to the mid 90's are the best and unmatched in writing, originality, and artistic developement. And comparing 2D animation to 3D animation is like comparing apples to oranges in my book. Further more, any of the 2D animations you find today are not as vivid and sharp as the Warner Brother Collection.

There were better cartoons than Warner Bros. even in the 50s and early 60s. Dudley Dooright, Sherman And Peabody, Boris And Natasha, just to name a few. The term "classic" doesn't mean it was good.
Gone With The Wind and It's A Wonderful Life are so called classics and both of them sucked.
