Dark Knight won several awards at an awards ceremony the other day.

That's pretty much as far as my knowledge goes on that

Righteous Kill, even though it came out on DVD in 2009, is still listed as a 2008 release and was pretty good. :D

I like the name.

I just recently saw these 2 movies and already I feel that they beat the Dark Knight, which is pretty hard to do considering the magnitued of that movie. The 2 best movies that I saw in 2008 have now got to be Slumdog Millionaire and Let the Right One In

Let the Right One In is probably the best vampire movie I have ever seen. I think that these 2 movies show that you don't need a blockbuster sized budget to make a good movie.

I would definitely recommend Slumdog Millionaire to anyone. Let the Right One In is really not very violent but there is a bit of blood as it's a vampire movie so it's probably not for the squeamish.

Slumdog Millionaire is really getting good reviews everywhere at the mo. In terms of budget and story i've a feeling this movie is the 2008 version of "Little Miss Sunshine".

The Wrestler is one i really want to see. Looks like it's about to be released at the cinema here, so will make a point in seeing that. Micky Rourke is getting rave reviews for his performance.

We'll find out tonight how many of the movies mentioned here will do in the Oscars. I've actually been looking forward to this night for a while now, especially as i'd love to see Ledger gain a post-humous oscar along with Dark Knight claiming a few awards.

It's gonna be a good night for Slumdog Millionare though, no doubt.

I didn't really like the Dark Knight. It was good, but it was missing something...
