Monday I got bitten by a black widow spider. My leg swelled up and by wednesday my muscles in my arms and legs were shaking, and I was passing in and out. Today is Friday, I am getting better and mostly ok. Just a headache and my leg is back to normal size.

Anyway, I just wanted to blast about it for no reason. I didn't die (obviosuly), but it was close.

Black Widows aren't aggressive MasterZ, you have to make them feel threatened to get bit.

If you get bit moving firewood or an old car, you just have to be more carefull next time.
If you slide your legs under a blanket on your bed or couch & get bit, it's time to tent the house.

I was actually laying outside in the sun, and I fell asleep. I think my sweat attracted it and maybe I rolled over or something.

Yeah I live in San Diego. I have seen them before here and was scared like crazy when I just saw it.

Monday afternoon, I started to get cramps and didn't know or realize what had happened. But by Teusday my leg was swollen and the cramps were worse. But I didnt go to the doctor, since it wasn't bad enough it was almost like I had bumped my knee really hard. I figured I woud see what the deal was the next day. To tell you the truth I don't think I got a ful bite.

Wednesday the knee and leg were returning to normal - "Maybe I just bumped my knee". Then the posion started to go through my bloodstream, and I was feeling dizzy in wave after wave of near - passing out. My muscles started shaking all over. That's when I drove myself to the hospital which is only about 3 miles from my house. Wednesday night I was terrified to go to sleep as I was seriosuly worried I would not wake up.

Today is Saturday, and my leg is back to normal, I have 0 dizzyness, and I only have a slight trace of a headache.

Since I work for myself, I don't have health insurance. I didn't get much work done this week either as I spent most of it laying down.

I almost stuck my hand in a black widow web once when I lived in Phoenix. Went to reach into my kitchen cabinet to grab a pan, and "something" stopped me. I looked right where I was going to put my hand and there she was. Well the male was there too. Apparently they hadn't had time to mate and her to eat him. Nailed them both with a different pan from a different cabinet.
