Hopefully you weren't one to discuss buying on as the googlebot has captured the credit card numbers and was obvious if you did a search.

Now google has killed that search, giving the "you keep sending auto queries" response, so no more people have access to the numbers from them at least.

That's kind of spooky.

Why on earth does this site even have peoples' credit card numbers in the first place ? :scratchhead: Sounds like a security nightmare waiting to happen.

They take the statements from the credit card company and clean it out.

The statement might say something like "Subway Store #54124" and they clean it out to say "Subway". On some statements though the credit card company adds in "From Card #.666-#".

They put in the raw statement (The non-cleaned out version as a comment in the HTML source (That what it seems like... what I got from what they said) but showed the cleaned out version "Subway".

The Google though, got the comment (or whatever it was that held the non-cleaned out version of the statement) and showed it up in the results.
