With email marketing or bulk emailing services, you typically have to pay so much per thousand or so. I'm looking for a bulk email service where someone will send out my message or ad for profit participation (no fee), sort of like an affiliate program. Do these guys still exist and how can I find them? Also, does anyone know of any email forums? Thanks

lol, yeah. Google seems to be able to find anything. I would also look on other forums and speak to peopel you know. You never know when you might find someone who does exactly what you are looking for.

The most common definition of spam is "unsolicited bulk email" or "unsolicited commercial email", take your pick. The important part is the "unsolicited" part.

There are loads of newsletters out there that send people useful content and ads at the same time. These newsletters require you to fill in a form on a site somewhere, thereby opting in, or "soliciting", making it not spam. If the mailer really cares about his subscribers, he will provide an unsubscribe option that works.

The only email I opt in for is when someone responds to my posts on phpbb forums.

I don't know why anyone would opt in for adverts. Exactly what would you consider opt in for your emails wmthomas? just curious

as vlad drac said it's that word "ad" that started those thoughts of spam.

If you are looking for a mailing list, I think you can do it with yahoo groups or something like that. It's all opt in, opt out sorta thing so damn nigh impossible to send spam unless you are gonna manual add everyone everytime they unsubscribe.
