wonder where he'll be in PA. I'd enjoy seeing him.

Don't think he'll make it up my way, but I'll keep an eye (and ear) out for him since I am of Scotch-Irish decent.
Like Mr Spork, I also write about my interest in alcoholic beverages.

As much as i'd love to agree with you here i am not going to because he isn't really doing this for anyone. All he is doing is aiming to raise awareness of the "Homecoming Scotland" events that are being held in Scotland this year. The sole purpose is to bring as many expats or people of Scottish descent back to Scotland on the 250th year or Robert Burns.

Robert Burns wrote the song "Auld Lang Syne" which many many many people sing usually at New Years all over the world, he is also one of Scotlands best known Poets.

To be honest, to me it looks like he is using something he believes in as a very good reason for him to use a talent of his to pay his way across the US. Yes, his cause is pretty clear but it isn't for the charity that many people do it for. It would appear to be for his love of Scotland and his belief he can hopefully encourage many Americans to make their holidays this year to Scotland.

Fingers crossed he succeeds. I genuinely hope from my own personal point of view you all make it here sometime. This guy obviously feels he can say the same as me through the traditional Scottish instrument - Bagpipes.
