hi everybody, I think it is a good idea.
fingerprinting (biometrics) on mouse. In addition, body temperature detection in mouse too? It makes more sense to me this way...

that would be a good idea but there are times that my hands will NOT melt ice.

They actually already have a mouse that scans your fingerprints to allow you to move the cursor. It can be used for up to 5 users and can limit time length used for certain users, it is wireless with a recharging station, and it can keep your settings even if it loses power. I found it in one of those magazines the airlines give you to read while your flying. I am going on a flight in a couple weeks and I will try to get the site you can find it at.

but seriosuly. How many of you have files on your computer that someone would break into your house to steal?

Perhaps the more appropriate question would be....

"But seriously, what kinda burglar is gonna sit around all day tryin' to dupe your fingerprint when he can just rip out the HD and stick it in another machine?" :)

Last I saw, the fingerprint systems were only an alternative to the logon & screensaver passwords. They didn't control access to the filesystem.

Nice, and no joke. It just doesnt make sense. It can protect against nothing truly useful, unless you happen to have a hardrive sealed in 2000 tons of titanium. I personally dont, so its not gonna work for me. To bad, they arent getting MY money!

I saw something like that on Ebay. I thought it was pretty cool.
