You must all know the man who was locked in ice and stood on that poll for hours on end. Well he's at it again. This time he's trying to go without food for 44 days.
He's locked in a plastic box in London with only water to drink.
Do you think it's a trick or is he a nutter ?

yes, but the way he drinks water is thru a drip in his arm, so i am guessing this is a trick because he could have the bodies vital minerals going into him thru that liquid...no1 knows apart from him, but if it is'nt then he is tapped

I must question this. Why do you automaticly think he is a nutter if his magic is fake? I a magician myself was inspired my David's magic and although you may have picked up on one or two of his tricks and just seem them as "fake" and that he is a nutter. I am tired of idiots thinking that magic is "fake", because it truly shows how that person is. Magic is the ability to amaze and to force to believe the unreal. While David's magic, my magic, or any other magicians magic may not be "REAL" in the eyes of nutters, it is real to the people that it inspires and amazes.

Magic - The exercise of sleight of hand or conjuring for entertainment.

I'm not saying his magic is bad. I like it.
What i'm saying is that if someone is trying to go without food and it's not a trick, then he must be crazy. He could die or go blind or end up with brain damage.
Anyway i hope he's ok at the end of his 44 days.

One thing just to clarify something. I have studied basicly ALL his magic/stunts and I can tell you that ALL of his stunts that he has done so far are ALL real and very much dangerous. He pushes himself beyond the limits in his stunts. You should really seach the net to listen to his story of why he is the way he is.

I'm keeping my eye on the updates on TV anyway. I want to see how thin he gets and how long he can last.
BTW did you see what it said on the BBC news website ?

Quote:
Blaine got the thumbs down from one placard-waver. "A fool chooses to starve himself and we all watch", the banner read. "One billion people have no choice and we ignore them".

This reminds me of the time that Criss Angel spent 24 hours underwater. It does make one wonder a bit about human nature and why we enjoy these sorts of things...

I remember hearing about this guy about a year ago. Watched some video clips of him doing magic tricks, etc. Definetely interesting to watch.

Heart, he's not making fun of your belief in Blainism. He's just wondering. His stunts definitly are fun to watch, I've seen a few TLC specials on him. A must see is the South Park episode where David Blaine and the Blainists try to take over the world, but are stopped by the Super Fun Friends.

*edit* Sorry didn't notice the we're.

Einstein once said think before you dislocate your jaw.

What exactly did you mean by that above statement?

//Oh and heart, as for the grammer post I know this probably isn't a good time to point this out, but I wanted to show you an example of where a spellchecker/rereading your post would really really really help:

A drip? That’s weird, why would they use a drip? When my mom was sick and really didn’t eat and was losing too much weight, they put an IV in her to put nutrients and such into her. 44 days without food is pretty harsh for the body, and since they’ve using and iv, this might be very “nutritious” water.

I think I’ve heard of thus guy, but I’m not sure. I stopped watching tv a long time ago. But if lots of people like watching someone starve themsevles then...*shrugs*

i never meant to put it across that he was a fake, but to last that long
no 1 can help but raise suspicion, and over here in the uk, a tv program called GMTV were there when he was put it and they got a docter on who said he probably was using very "nutricios" (spell?), but the only way to tell is if he were to be weighed before and after
