Next time you're looking for things to buy at online auctions, you might want to make sure you log off after you're done. That is, unless you don't mind having your 3 year old buying you an earth mover.

that would suck to wake up to! hahaha. Hope they feel like relandscaping their yard; get some sort of use out of the product.

I bet Bigwebmaster wishes this would have happened to him the other day when he was sprucing up his back yard.

What a tech savvy kid! Good thing, they weren't sued or anything.

I don't think the owner of that product would sue them for buying his product for $20,000

Heh, there are PLENTY of people in the states who would do just that when the buyers tried to back out of the deal. There's not a doubt in my mind that someone would take the avenue that a bid is a binding contract, regardless of circumstances, and that they have to pay the full amount. I'm pretty sure the court would take their side, too. They could have really been in trouble there.

I agree with UPSGuy. To be honest the most shocking part of the story I found to be the fact that the transaction was reversed without any issues or legal complications.

Good story though.

I do find it interesting that there's just giant earth movers listed all over. I guess you really can buy anything online.
