I am wondering what type of education you people have. Like what classes you took/are taking in high school/university/college, maybe even which university/college you attended.

I am still in high school, in grade 11. My main classes are C++ programing, many math classes, physics, CCNA networking, and graphics art classes. I will hope to go to university (if my grades and my wallet are up to par) and take software development and maybe network administrator, and just geeky stuff like that.

So what about you guys?

I have a Bachelor's of Science Degree for which I made Magna come Laude. Majored in flight technology and minored in computer science. I also have an Associates of Arts degree from a two year community college.

The majority of the classes I took were flight tech related, such as:

Instrument Ground
Commercial Ground
Commercial Lab (the flying part)
Multiengine Ground
CFI Ground (Certified Flight Instructor)
CFI Lab (the flying part)
Aerodynamics
Meteorology for Pilots
Aviation Weather Services
Aviation Physiology and Survival
Human Factors in Flight
Aviation Safety Management (I got to go in a pressurized flight chamber)
Multiengine Simulator, EFIS
National Airspace System
Systems I
Systems II
Systems II
Air Carrier Operations
Advanced Navigation
Air Transportation
and probably missed many

Some of the classes I took for my minor in computer science were:

C++ Programing Fundamentals I
C++ Programming Fundamentals II
Elementary Data Structures in C++
Assembly Language
Finite Mathematics
Sets and Logic

Even though my focus in college was aviation my priorities switched around towards the end of college and I have decided to go the programming/internet route as far as career purposes. I finished my major with flight technology because I literally spent tens and tens of thousands of dollars working on that degree and I was almost done, so there was no way I was not going to finish. Besides it really doesn't matter what I majored in, as long as I have my 4 year degree.

Overall I really do feel that college hasn't assisted me a great deal in what I do now. If I knew what I know now, I would have most likely majored in computer science which would have been much more beneficial to me. However, the good news is I will now have a great flying hobby since I have many certifications as an airplane pilot :)

BA in educational ministries with minors in bible and philosophy.

Masters in Human Relations.

What sort of job can you get with those? Anything, as long as it's low paying :lol: :cry:

Nothing technical in terms of schooling, although I have gone through both the network switching systems course and the information systems operator/maintainer course for the US Army.

Yeah that is pretty impressive. I am going to a cheasy two year college...I am sort of a late attender. I wish that I was going to a better one after knowing what I am paying, but I think it is getting the job done. All the courses I am taking now are MCP courses, and I will be certified in A+, Network+, and MCSE. I plan to get certified in a lot more things after college

I got a BA in BS :twisted: , I took a world culture class a few years ago, I'm trained as a Tactical Aircraft Mechanic (2A353J), not to much formal trainning, alot of self trained stuff - Qbasic, a little assembly language, PC repair, a little bit of Linux, wireless radios, restoration process for restoring a 52 GMC, basiclly anything out of a book I can learn or apply it to what ever I'm doing :twisted: Eventually I'll probably go to school for a BA in Comp Science and Comp Info. Maybe pickup a few piceces of paper (MCSE, CCNA, RH) sometime soon when I have the time.
