Emule port help

I have a dlink 707p router and i've just opened the ports so emule can use them. I'm still having problems though i can't seem to get any decent speeds does anyone know anything about emule.

what is emule? If it is anything like kazaza then you probably won't find to much here.

Kinda, but it used by many legitimate users to spread software they've created, etc. without having it eat their own bandwidth.

See, eMule will accept ed2k:// links in Internet Explorer. So if you produce software, you can create an ed2k:// link for it, and if people click it, their copies of eMule will attempt to find & download that file peer-to-peer.

V. handy if you're running a big archive of opensource software too. If you list all the Linux distros available, getting your users to download P2P is gonna save a lot of bandwidth... especially when you average distro is around 2Gig these days across several CD ISO's.

For example, here's a video I made a while ago..

ed2k://|file|BikeVids-Crashes-#1-[aXe].avi|24043520|AC0F62AB7ADAD2FA41D089837636E099|/

You can just click on that link, up comes eMule, adds it to the download queue, and starts lookin' for sources to download it from (which is about just me right now, heh).

But yeah, because of this feature, a lot of people are using it now for legitimate releases.

Awe...I liked the other one, the whole face thing ;) That sounds pretty cool, it's a good idea.

to be shure underneth the router there is a sticker and it says the type u need that info i belive
