Why the sun lightens our hair, but darkens our skin?

Why women can't put on mascara with their mouth closed?

Why don't you ever see the headline "Psychic Wins Lottery"?

Why is "abbreviated" such a long word?

Why is it that doctors call what they do "practice"?

Why is it that to stop Windows 98, you have to click on "Start"?

Why is lemon juice made with artificial flavor, and dishwashing liquid made with real lemons?

Why is the man who invests all your money called a broker?

Why is the time of day with the slowest traffic called rush hour?

Why isn't there mouse-flavored cat food?

When dog food is new and improved tasting, who tests it?

Why didn't Noah swat those two mosquitoes?

Why do they sterilize the needle for lethal injections?

You know that indestructible black box that is used on airplanes? Why don't they make the whole plane out of that stuff?!

Why don't sheep shrink when it rains?

Why are they called apartments when they are all stuck together?

If con is the opposite of pro, is Congress the opposite of progress?

If flying is so safe, why do they call the airport the terminal?

Why do they call them Tug Boats when they push ships?
Why do they call them Tow Boats when they push Barges down the river?

Or how about this scenario....

What do you do when you see an endangered species eating an endangered plant?

If the convenience store is open 24 hours a day, why are there locks on the doors?

my theory on this one is that if there is a burglar they can lock the doors to slow the person down, or if they are automatic locks, so the employee can lock them so the burglar can't get out so the cops can come and arrest the burglar. Or they just want them on there for looks. Or they could use them every once in a while if they are remodeling rearranging etc.

--this post was more like "I took a swing and missed" as someone said to me in another post. lol. I think it was shrew.--

Reminds me of the L.L. Bean store. He was tired of people bugging him at all hours for his outdoorsman clothing so he decided to open his store 24/7. He threw away the key to the store  .
