Didn't know whereto ask this but...

If I want to create an auto-run file on a mac, what is the equivalent of an executable (.exe) file from the PC?

The equivalent of an .exe on MAC is a .hqx file, i believe.

An 'autorun file', however is a different beast. There are some instructions here for the same thing on a MAC http://www.phdcc.com/shellrun/autorun.htm#macs

On a Windows CD, you'd put an Autorun.ini file in the root, which would point to the .exe file somewhere on the CD.
