My understanding is that any documents on a secure server will be encrypted and decrypted using public/private keys without any additional code.

for example, if I move my login script using php/MySql, to a secure server without any modifications to the code, all data travelling to/from client/server wil be encrypted. is this right?

sounds about right to me...not 100% on SSL myself but if I'm reading
what you're saying correctly, then that should be it.

this is all assuming that the SSL server already has a certificate
