Looks like they are skipping 3.1 and going straight to 3.5. Mozilla is claiming 3.5 is two times faster than 3.0 and 10 times faster than 2.0

Firefox 3.5 Preview

released June 8th, 2009
This is a preview of Firefox 3.5, the upcoming version of the Firefox web browser. It has not yet gone through a full set of quality assurance tests, and should not be considered as a release candidate. However, we appreciate your time and help in testing it by using it as your regular browser.

We expect that the Firefox 3.5 Release Candidate to be issued shortly. At that time you will be automatically upgraded to that version.

I don't think so billy_BOB. It's an extension of firefox, not a standalone application. And I seriously doubt it will work with any beta's.

I'm eager to check out this "build your own" thing I heard about for Firefox 3.5 where you can build a redistributable with specific bookmarks, extensions, etc already installed when you run the setup.
Strong with this one, the sudo is.

The great thing about FF is the constant introduction of updates and newer versions. Sometimes several versions and patches might be offered within a week.
