I hear most of mine from MTV2, MTV's alternative music station on Cable, its pretty good. Theres also a great music shop near me which does a thing called "suck it and see" so if you buy a cd and don't like it, u can swap it for another.

The next album i'm gonna get is Ash's new one called "Meltdown". Its meant to be very good and its nice indie / Alt stuff!

Franz Ferdinand kick ass, I'll have to check out some of the other suggestions.

VH2 is my favourite music channel, its more indie than MTV2 is.

They aren't indie but i would suggest '8 days late'.
They are a band formed by 3 of my mates and they are great, they haven't made it big yet but it is only a matter of time as they are doing gigs around manchester all the time.
Check out the web site and see for yourself: http://www.8dayslate.co.uk

Hey, Welcome to Ozzu Ryo!

I'm downloading your suggested bands 2 mp3's now, I'll let you know what i think whenever i get the chance to listen to them.

The Killers are a good indie / alt band to check out if you haven't heard them already.

Goin' to bed,

L.A. based Motochrist is the brainchild of lead guitarist Marc Diamond, of the Dwarves, singer Danny Nordahl, of NY Loose and the Throbs, Ricky Vodka, from Humble Gods, and Chad Stewart from Faster Pussycat Started in 1998, as “a way to get free drinks” Motochrist quickly gained a following by playing straight up, guitar rock. It’s not hair rock, nor heavy metal, or any other sub-genre of rock and roll, it’s just pure loud rock and roll and it’s good.

hey guys. I'm from canada and in my little skateboarder hick town we got alot of local bands that we listen to. wich is mostly Hardcore rock.
some good bands tho are:

Odd Project-midnight lullaby, silver screen lovers
The Killers-midnight show, somebody told me
dead poetic-vanus empty
Stutterfly-all the songs
new order-somebody like you
Moneen
Underoath- a boy painted red living in black and white
Yellow Card- way away
H.I.M.
The Faint
chevelle
Bright eyes
The Cure: (this band is my all time favorite)-Why can't I be you
Alexis On Fire
Hopesfall
The Bleeding Alarm
Ludo
3 inches of blood
Mathew goodband-Alert Status Red
Coheed and Cambria
Emery- walls, the ponytail parade
Le Tigre

If you guys are really into good guitar and drums I'd check out Children of Bodom. and In Flames-mad made god

sorry this is so long, thas only half of the stuff I listen to. I produce music in my town for the local bands. its not all indie rock, but they are all talented bands above. so take a gander with an open mind that would be awesome! I hope this helps. Music is self Expression!
