In about 2-3 months I'm moving to a different country... I'm moving to Ukraine from USA... back to my roots :)

This means a lot of changes for me, one of the more bigger changes for me would be no computer and no internet, which means no Ozzu for me. (Which also means I probably won't get to see the new and improved Ozzu that BigWebMaster is creating).

As much fun as I've had here helping people and helping others, I'm having to bid farewell to all the nice folks here at Ozzu.

I might, by some miracle, have a computer there with an internet connection that I could use to come by here once in a while, but that is pretty unlikely.

Anyways, good bye! Keep growing Ozzu and improving.

Sorry to hear you won't be around anymore :(

If not anything with computers, what do you plan to work on skill wise?

Hope to see you back some day.

It will be pretty hard to stay away from Ozzu for so long (for the rest of my life is a very long time) but I'm going to have to try... I might sneak a visit every now and then but that's the best I could do. As to what I'm going to do skill wise, I don't know yet. I'll have to get there and see... the economy there is so different then here. I guess I got to do some more better research on Ukraine before actually moving there.

Without wanting to sound too nosy, but why the big change?

Less Internet and computer isn't necessarily a bad thing, but to completely cut it off is a big move. I say that also because the world is reliant on computers now and will always will be in the future, more likely in a larger scale. So avoiding Ozzu would be optional n your part, not because there are no computers or Internet.

Ukraine isn't ancient, I know many from the country that go as far as to say certain parts of the country are better set up than the UK (which given recent times probably isn't that hard to do).

I hope you are not gone for good and it's only a temporary move. So, for that reason I won't be wishing you all the best for the rest of your life and rather wishing you luck for the forthcoming move and career change.

No, Ukraine is not ancient... In fact, there are many people there who live better then some in USA, but that's not the point or reason. First of, in my latest visit to Ukraine I met a girl whom I proposed to, and she said yes. She doesn't want to move here, so I'm moving there. Her pastor doesn't allow for computers, so that's why I'm not going to have a computer. Not because it's ancient, but because of religious beliefs. Internet there is actually cheaper then internet here. Internet there costs about $4 a month...

I'm not exactly sure if I'll never visit here... I might drop in for a few seconds once in a rare while, but nothing like it has being before. I got like 2 months left in the USA and then I'm gone.

It's not amish, and I don't think that it's forbidden because of the technology, but for the internet and what kind of junk/sinful stuff people could find on the internet. So instead of having internet and practicing self-discipling in not going places, we don't have computer/internet to tempt us.

I don't understand religion. I doubt I ever will.

Congrats on proposal. I hope it all works out for you.

Yeah, religion brought a whole bunch of debates and other bad stuff to the world, but what I practice is less of a "religion" and more of a way of life... something like that. I'm not going to dwell into this. If anyone is wondering, my religion is called "Pentecostal" which doesn't say too much since there are some different sects of Pentecostal.

Thanks, I hope it all works well for me as well.

Do what makes you happy.

Giving up the Internet because it could lead to sinful material seems a bit like giving up trips to the grocery store because they could have porn magazines behind the counter though.

I understand and I agree with you. I'm not giving up internet on those grounds, it's the rules of their church there based on these grounds, and I'm going to try and talk to the pastor and maybe he'll understand so I might actually not leave Ozzu altogether, but I don't know. Maybe that won't work and I won't have internet at all.

Wow, I don't think I could give up the internet! That would be a hard move for me.
Good luck over there!

Your fiancé sounds like a brainwashed moron on so many levels e.g. letting her life be dictated by her pastor, assuming her pastor knows best, belonging to a cult, accepting a ban on something that is vital for most careers these days (plus extremely useful for many day-to-day activities), all because some people choose to use it to do things deemed sinful (which in most cases are probably harmless (but deemed sinful by the 'sex is wrong' type religious fanatics)), etc. She is accepting a stupid rule for stupid reasons, set by her stupid pastor for stupid reasons. I suggest that you either deprogram her or ditch her. The vast majority of churches don't forbid the possession or use of computers. If you can't convince her to not be religious, you should at least convince her to join a different church.

Clearly you don't believe that crap, or else you wouldn't have posted here so much. You are bending your lifestyle to her religious beliefs. Is she bending her lifestyle at all to accommodate yours?
