Maybe that'll help?

Make that one easy for ya. ;)

The 'houston' center that you're thinking of, most likely thanks to their "problem" reference...

Anyone know how old these pictures are? Or are they live?

I found this in the GE FAQ:
Quote:
Our images are photographs taken by satellites and aircraft sometime in the last three years. The images in Google Earth are updated on a rolling basis...Not all cities are covered in high resolution (where you can see individual buildings and cars) detail. We have more imagery of the United States than other countries currently. And because the imagery comes from a variety of sources, and is mosaic-ed together, it is difficult for us to specify the date of a city or region (a single city may have imagery taken from different months).

We are adding high resolution coverage continually, but we are not able to tell you when a specific area will be covered. The best way to find out if your area of interest is covered is to download the free version of Google Earth and check it out for yourself (Google Earth, Google Earth Plus, and Google Earth Pro share access to the same database).
I'd love to change the world, but they won't give me the source code.

Don't thank me, thank Google. I think they have concocted some secret index related specifically to items that could possibly deal with their softwares...the results were incredibly easy to locate! :D

I was gonna post a pic of my house, since it's pretty good quality for the fact that the city i live in is pretty small, but google earth isn't working for me ATM, I'll try again later.

I like turning on the building vew, then going to a big city like new york, new york, and seeing all the buildings in 3d. Or using the distance tool, to see how far things are, like my house to school, or the walk i did the other day, which I found out was about 4km.

I heard a story about Yahoo HQ ... it does not appear in Google Earth.

Google say it was because there was no available images of that area.

Others suspect that Google has left it out intentionally as some kind of
joke.

I don't know if it is included now, as that story is a few months old.

I looked up the address for yahoo (on the yahoo site), so just search for "701 First Avenue, Sunnyvale, California 94089" in maps.google.com it works good, can't try in google earth atm, but I don't think it wouldn't be there.

actually if you search for "google hq" in maps.google.com the second entry is yahoo's hq.

Oh yeah, they're both there...In fact, if you type in google headquarters into the address bar in GE, you actually get a tour containing Veritas, Google, Google Campus, & Yahoo Inc, all labeled on the map for zoom ease. :)

//EDIT: LMAO! If you double-grab the 'google' icon, you will see that google must be an underground facility because it's actually located in the middle of a field across the street from the google campus...must be their secret underground lab. :)
