The red circle is me, and the green circle is "White hart lane, the world famous home of the Spurs" as the guy at the begining of the matches says.
I can hear the crowd on match days.

is that hibury arsenal stadium? I used to live close to a stadium as well, just about 50meters, sometimes there were concerts there so all i needed to do was opening the window and listen bon jovi or whitney houston (at that time) for free. =)

Thanks Hockachu for suggesting Kilimanjaro.

I put that puppy on maximum "tilt" and used "rotate" to fly around it ... nice.

Definatly check out the Pyramids of Giza, unfortunatly they are not tall enough to register much elevation data :)

Area 51 came pre-programmed with my version of Google Earth if I remember right. Although they might have removed it after some protest, I got it very shortly after it was released.

I went and looked at Iraq and Afganistan, it was facininating. It certainly doesnt look as bad from the air as it does on TV.

It was so facinating to see it so close and the landscape.

Keep in mind that these aren't real time images...theyre composite over the past three years.
I'd love to change the world, but they won't give me the source code.

They definitely need a better resolution of Calgary. Theres a whole strip missing in the middle. I hope they fix it.

I would guess the Air Force would get mad at them for showing Area 51.

There was a blog with tons of pictures of area 51 before google were asked to remove that part of the nevada desert.

"Area 51, the worlds most famous top secret military base"

Im going to go looking for the nasca lines when i wake up.

nasca lines - reinstalling google earth to try and find those, my mom would love it, thanks for the idea.
edit: bah, I looked them up, and was pretty disapointed. All the stuff is too small, and blurry, you can barely see them at all, and I needed some overlay thing (with all the pinpoints of where they were) to know where they were.

But all the mountains and stuff around the area looked pretty cool.

it seems that terrorists could use google earth to pinpoint locations and what not:
http://legalbrief.wnd.co.za/article.php ... 4104906175

and as I was looking for that article through google news, there was some other ones about how you could get nice pictures of other military bases, like south korea, russia, the us, etc.

Of course. The Air Force has so many secrets - not to take this forum to a seperate side topic - but Area 51 is not the only thing they are hiding. Many of these things are so secret not even members of congress can see them. One such example of this is evidence of UFOs which is atleast being hidden. If it werent for people like Donald E Keyhoe to help make it public.

I'm told that they are always adding to the Google world maps so eventually the whole world will be covered in more depth.

Its really amazing to cruise around and see world sights!
