It sucks because most people have plans on the 4th already so a party is never on the day if it's going to happen. But on the other hand I've been getting free drinks and food on the 4th while everyone else is getting gouged for 7 years now.

I might as well be 35. When I was 8 I wished I was a teenager so I could do teenager stuff, when I was a teenager I wished I was 16 so I could drive, when I was 16 I wished I was 18 so I could buy cigerettes, when I was 18 I wished I was 21 so I could buy alcohol, when I was 21 I wished I was 25 so my auto insurance would drop drsticly enough to make it worth getting my license back, when I was 25 I wished I was 30 because everyone has awesome parties when they turn 30.

Now I'm 28, have noticeable gray hair, and wish I was 8 so I could figure out where the last 20 years went.

Strong with this one, the sudo is.

There is bound to be somewhere celebrating it for all the Americans in London at the moment. I'm pretty sure there is bound to be loads of Americans there at the moment, so just have a browse.

If the weather is as good down in London as it is up in Edinburgh then i have no doubt it'll be a good day for a BBQ if you can find somewhere with one that is also celebrating July 4th.
