Anyone going to Mardi Gras? Anyone ever been? It's been something I've always thought about doing but could never convince myself it was worth the trip.

I've never been to Mardigras, and based on what most of the travelers I've met say probably will not go until after I've visited places such as Trinidad, Jamaica, and Belize to name a few. :)

I still think we should have turned New Orleans into a giant fishery after the hurricanes.

I forget whether New Orleans was under water after the hurricanes or not. :scratchhead:

As i recall, it wasn't.

I know this from when a UK television program (Top Gear) did a road trip of the US and ended up in New Orleans filmed about a year after the hurricane and it was a complete mess.

I do actually wonder what it is like now though.
