I thought up an idea for a new topic.. I am going to find a picture of some genius and I will put it as my avatar and then post on this topic saying I changed it and the first person who post saying who he/she is and what they did (what makes them a known genius) will win.. I figured it would be kind of fun and educational.. Or even maybe others can do it too if they wanted..

RULES:
1. You must post their FIRST and LAST name.
2. Shortly describe how they became known as a genius.
3. First person to post #1 and #2 correctly will win that round.

For the winners of my Avatars I will make a list of each Genius in order and who the winner was in this post.. I will update it after every winner..

=================================

WINNERS:
1. SharkShark (Howard Stephen Berg - Worlds Fastest Reader)
2. ATNO/TW (Bobby Fisher - Greatest Chess Player)
3. ATNO/TW (Sho Yano - 12 Year Old Genius With The Worlds Highest IQ)
4. digitalMedia (Ludwig van Beethoven - Wrote Symphonies When Deaf)
5. joebert (Ted Kaczynski aka The Unabomber - Math genius/Professor)
6. joebert & psyc0w (Albert Einstein - World's Famous Genius)
7. JrzyCrim (Niels Bohr - Proved the new structure of the atom)

I thought It would be famous geniuses; not nobodies who created some big business or something. I was expecting to see ya know, Niels Bohr, Mozart, Eli Whitney, Johannes Gutenberg, maybe even Einstein :D

This is neksus.. He is very famous indeed.. Besides people like Einstein, you really don't know what many other geniuses look like (most people).. But, he is very famous..

Actually, I can identify any of the men I said were geniuses. Can you? I can name their claims to fame, along with many other important figures of society. On the other hand I don't care that this guy created OxyClean (just using it for my statement). He looks familiar though, maybe he's that speed reading guy. Either way, a fat geeky guy in a business suit that may or may not be a smooth talker that probably only created a method of doing something (unless it's as foundational as Calculus via Newton and Leibnitz) is not a genius in my books.

And next time, how about we don't resort to 6th grade (again) and start insulting me.

And FIY, famous does not mean genius.

I wasn't "insulting" you.. I was talking in general.. And yes.. I have studied many many many geniuses and their work.. You think I would make a topic like this going into it not knowing a thing? I am not trying to make this a blow over.. I mean.. Come ON! How many people are going to pick Einstein out of a line up? Everyone.. If you want to know what a genius is than look it up http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=genius I am not going by what YOUR definition of a genius here.. But, I don't think you're dumb neksus.. I was talking in general.. Most people really do not know what most geniuses look like..

Look guys -- Heart has a great idea for the post. If you want to participate, then do so and leave the flaming and insults out of it. Otherwise don't post.

Like nexus said he looks familiar, but I suspect this is going to almost end up like a 20 questions sorta thing. One of those nagging little things -- I'm sure I've seen him before.
