It's sad how our today society just critisises everything. They feel a need to constantly judge on looks before they actually go any further on someone or are proven wrong. She is amazing and I think its a shame she had to go out there and prove herself to that audience because she was being laughed at..

Aparently Operah wants her on the show. I heard when she saw her she sort of laughed too before Susan sang a note. She was blown away with how good her performance was.

Very glad she is from Scotland too.

I love the American media...

I guess the hype is pretty big if she is getting American journalists flying to her home here just so they can have a visual of her house

hmm, I love watching talented people and I can't deny this kid is really, really good, but I can't believe it wasn't a setup, the fact that he had another song ready that fast looks sooo unreal.

He has a great voice, but I still like Susan more.

Luis, the reason there was another song ready was because each contestant who sings is required to bring in a CD with a copy of several songs to sing as alternatives if they want to change at last minute.

Really?? :scratchhead:

Well, my bad then. Is just that I don't recall having seen Simon, interrupting someone without giving him an X.

I think he was giving the kid the benefit of the doubt.

It could be fixed, but i am naive and i like believing the easy things.

That was amazing... my friend showed me that vid a week ago... said how could anyone like her (He is more for the beauty), and I said beauty comes in different packages  This one, the vocals.

Really amazing how some people have the talent for singing and not being able to because they aren't, what people consider, hot.

I think it is sad she is celebrity.

Do you know how many special ed/disabled people can do likewise?

Where are their stories?

They actually have to overcome obstacles.

Why isn't Irene Sendler a celebrity(deceased now) or her story told as much?

Come on Oprah, you want to "touch the viewers" recite her story, and how Al Gore is in hiding today.

What is pushed by media is really unimportant.
Kudo's to her for having the guts to go on the show.
It should have stopped there.
