Well, kind of an obvious question I guess, but I'm looking for methods..
I recently decided to start a community of my own, and I was wondering what you found was the best way to 'get the ball rolling'? It's so difficult to get people to talk when I'm the only one talking! LOL. Any insite would be great :)

I can't tell you how OZZU came about, but I can tell you how my sports board started. Another designer and I ran separate sports pools at an adult community (I know -- sort of a wierd place to have them, but the place was cheap and worked pretty well until it crashed and burned last spring. As a result, we condensed it and since we both had our own domains we could use we temporarily decided to host everything at his. Fortunately I had found OZZU just prior and new about the phpBB board. That's what we set up as our medium.

As far as our posters, we're still in our infancy and hope to grow as OZZU has. Most of the ones we have there now followed us from our old places, or are recent invites of friends we have found. Fortunately our ranking is high on Google and we have even picked up a few members from there as well as referals of current members. We haven't made an all out effort to go out and bring in traffic, because we're still developing it and creating our future plans -- so in essence, even though we've been doing it for awhile, it's still a baby at best.
