When ever I show people my sites, one of the first questions I get, (after, how long did that take/how much does it cost to have your own .com) is if I can draw for real too?

As a matter of fact, that's actually where I did start, with the ink pen/paper and then moved up to oil on canvas and then found Adobe's Illustrator...

I've only been dealing with digital art for about 18 months now and learn more everyday...

How many of you guys started as pen & paper kind of artists before Macromedia/Adobe replaced/took time away from your brush?

All of my flash characters start off as my pen and paper drawings. I love how I can turn drawings into cartoons.

Very talented is the person that can do both graphic design and art with a pen and paper. I think that only one of my 5 or so graphic designer friends have that talent. Kudos to you!

I like to do traditional art media from time to time. When I was a teen I used to love working with charcoal and crayons. I sketch/doodle everything before I sit down to do the work on the computer.

Yeah, I found using the "Trace Bitmap" function incredibly useful as I'm currently attending night-classes to learn flash. I should have some cool animations to post soon...

I do pencil/paper art...pretty much all. I'm slowly improving my computer coloring non-skills, but I'm generally one for the pencil/pen/paint art.

I do a little of everything, only recently really got into digital art, and I still just mostly paint in Photoshop (which, might I add, I am none too skilled with):
pencil: (hurray for shoddy webcams and a poorly-lit home office!)

digital attempt:

...I told my webcam it has a ten second head start before I kill it...
and as to what I like... I like both. As long as I don't have to put my pencil art online. ow.
