Copying stuff from the screen and just typing from your head is two different things.

I took the test and got
41 wpm
100% accuracy

but if I'm chating online and in the grove
80+ wpm
80% accuracy

Then again maybe I full of it :D

I took the test and got 78 WPM at 89% accuracy. I think I can do better though (accuracy wise at least), just depends on when I do it. Sometimes I just suck at typing while others i'm super duper.

I never realized this before, but as I was typing something out I was watching my thumbs and I now know I only use one of them. I never use my right thumb. My left thumb does all the work at hitting the space bar. I guess I use 9, not 10! It is funny things you do not notice until you pay close attention. I just always assumed I used both thumbs!

Hmm, interesting.... I just watched myself typing and I alternate thumbs.

If the last letter of the word I am typing ends in a letter that I type in using my left hand I use my left thumb to hit the space bar, but if it ends in a letter that I type using my right hand I use my right thumb to hit the space bar.

I never noticed that before, kinda freaky!

Yeah, so it seems, we're all pretty good typers. Did anybody notice that the world-record is around 220 WPM!? And that 'best-typist-in-the-world' can sustain 150WPM for 50 minutes!

the typetest.com or w/e it is:
61 WPM
93% accuracy

I am 15 years of age.

I have also noticed I do not use my left thumb for typing...er...spacing. I just now noticed that since you guys mentioned something.

I would be curious to see if there is a correlation between which hand you write with and which thumb you use for the space bar. Even right now I find myself using the right thumb all the time and occasionally using the left one. I'm also right handed. Something to think about :D

I am right handed, but never use my right thumb for the space bar. I only use my left thumb.
