Hi everyone,

I’ve recently developed http://www.reddragoncompact.com (a plant website) for my good ‘old dad. But I was wondering: If you created this website, how much would you charge?

I’m a university student who wants to earn some extra cash, and I thought this might be a good way to do it. So basically I’m trying to find out how much to charge for the next website.

Any comments appreciate – cheers!

Rick.

Wow, man that is a pretty tight design you got there. I liked the preloader too showing how fast things were transferring. Very cool effect. Anyway as far as price there are alot of factors to determine price. Anyway I am just guessing but I would say maybe $1000.00 USD +/-

Unflux might be able to tell you a more accurate price, as this is exactly the kind of market he is in, creating websites and selling them to clients.

I am curious though, how long did it take you to create that website?

Wow, very impressive design indeed.. you definately have some money making potential there. i would charge no less that $1000 for something of that magnitude...

ditto: what bigwebmaster said, curious about how many hours did you log making that site in total?

Looks like a good week's worth of work. I'd say at least $2k
If you pay yourself $50 an hour for working at home, that's an easy way of budgeting projects. Most won't want to pay you by the hour so just estimate how long you think something will take, mutiply it by 50 (or whatever you'd like to get paid per hour without losing the gig) and there ya go.
Give Dad a break though.
