I'm hoping very secure. If they aren't they could be in trouble. According to a Daily News article, NYPD computers are receiving over 70,000 attempts a day from China hackers to break into the system.

Quote:
A network of mystery hackers, most based in China, have been making 70,000 attempts a day to break into the NYPD's computer system, the city's top cop revealed Wednesday.

Commissioner Raymond Kelly said the perpetrators have yet to succeed, but their relentless activities have prompted the force to raise its guard against high-tech crime.

The department should find some old machine they aren't using and open up every possible port to outside access. Have it serve up the most vile, disgusting images the Internet has to offer.

Sad isn't it.
The US needs to just block all communication from china until the government stops giving degrees in computer espionage and funding hacking attempts to other countries.

To go along with this, if you don't mind a little light reading, here's a very good 5 page article on Chinese hackers

I just heard something about this on the news the other day.
Apparently computers in NY are as tight knit with the nations secrets as ones in the Pentagon.
Strong with this one, the sudo is.
