Why don't you have access the the greater than / less than symbols?

That's slightly odd. Every keyboard I've ever seen has them.

Yeah..........unless you have some weird habit of knawing them off.....lol. J/K. I personally dont think that there is a way to do it without the "<" or the ">" signs. Maybe someone else does.........

As far as I know you can't even have a HTML page without thoose two chars

I'm curious as to what this would be used for. The only thing I can think of would be to bypass restrictions on some sort of submission form. :?

I know I restrict thoose two from my "Post A Comment" boxes.

If all else fails Sart | Run | Accessories | Accessibility | Onscreen Keyboard

Click the shift key and you'll have access to the <> symbols

Couldn't you do it with cgi or something and and just print the equivilant of the < or > as an ASCII number?

four possiblities....

1) buy a new keyboard, <$10 at BestBbuy

2) copy/paste the '<' and '>' out of anouther file everytime you need them

3) use the on-screen keyboard (as ATNO/TW suggested)

4) remap the keyboard, or switch it over to DVORAK so that the '<' and '>' keys are in different places

i personally reccomend option 1...

The challenge was actually to get a link into some guys blog... He banned the < and > characters from being posted to avoid links and images getting posted i'm sure...

The challenge was to "hack" a link onto the site....

thats naughty....

Well it's pretty much inpossible to be honest any element on an html page needs a tag, and a tag needs needs tag characters.

In any case, if he's banned it he's banned it. No-one here is gonna help you abuse someone else's website. Sorry if that sounds harsh.

Well, I guess that settles that, then. This topic is locked. In the future Willy, don't waste peoples time and efforts here to help when all you want to do is something as stupid as this.
