My Idea for the Ozzu Oscars

Hello all, I really like the idea of the Ozzu Oscars, where hard-working people can earn a little recognition for their knowledge, but their is one thing that kind of bothers me about it.

The polls show the result, including the percentages of votes that each nominee got, which really irritates me; I can say this because of past experience. I ran for class president when i was in 7th grade, and I came in 3rd place; I knew this because they actually announced how many votes each person got, and the respective percentages. I was very embarrassed and I got them to change their policy after all.

although this may not make a lot of people leaving left out or wondering why they were not chosen in 1st place, I am 100% sure that at least a couple people here will feel this way.

Therefore, I am suggesting that the system be changed, and that the actual vote result be withheld, except for who actually won.

I highly appreciate this forum's existence and hope to keep posting here, just a quick little suggestion from me!

Well..I think we set it up so the vote was withheld, and likewise the three tiebreaker votes should be withheld assuming (as best I can tell they are) I set the posts up correctly. Not sure I 100% understand your point.

I personally don't really care if the percentage/vote count is shown, I like to see how many votes I got, even if it is a nice round zero.

We should make a flash, with same process as the oscars, u know: naming the nominees and then saying who wins. Lol, that would be fun!

Heh Heh... just delete my post, I reconsidered my point, and now that I think about it, it's just for the sole purpose of a little recognition and appreciation for people's knowledge; not like being embarrassed in front of 1000 kids

i think if you're going to take a vote personally, you set yourself up for
dissappointment. None of these votes in the oscars nor the comeptitions
mean anything except to the very small immediate microcosm of the
entire internet world here at OZZU.

If having a low vote count on a forum hurts your feelings, then you're
just a little bit over-sensitive IMO.
