A couple of days ago Microsoft tweeted this...

and received a lot of negative responses by fans of Amy Winehouse. As a result Microsoft went on to tweet...

"Apologies to everyone if our earlier Amy Winehouse download tweet seemed purely commercially motivated.

"Far from the case we assure you."


If it wasn't Commercially motivated then what was it?

If that quote is correct then their tweet do not seem to state anywhere that this was not commercially motivated. The word they use are "purely commercially motivated", witch sounds like it could be commercially motivated but that those saying/thinking that this was only commercially motivated are wrong.
