I knew the guy who started up cpCommerce (maybe you've heard of it??). In any event, he recently dropped the project, but he got a full ride to college and a number of job offers out of it (and a few other things of course). Just some inspiration for you..

That is inspirational, I have heard of osCommerce, I actually am implementing it for my current client...I vaguely recall cpCommerce. Regardless I'd have to pull something big outa my head inorder for that to happen
