I've been looking for a replacement for my Kazaa since my AdAware seems bent on destroying it :D

I've been looking through download.com, but the reviews are always rather mixed..

What do you guys use for file sharing? I'd perfer something not quite so 'ad happy' as kazaa, but just as good at finding stuff.
Thx for any suggestions!

*hee hee....
No offence iBold, but b_heyer's opinions on Kazaa and pirating are shared by more than him. Don't be too dissapointed if you don't get much help on this.

And as an aside, Kazaa is a notorious spyware proggy which is why your Adaware keeps quaranteening the stuff. I guarantee you that if I find a file sharing proggy on any of my companies' work computers like Kazaa, I nix them immediately without thinking twice about it.

buy cd's and support the artist and those who work so hard to make it available to the public.

if you like the music so much you should support it!

Admits he has Kazaa Lite.

It a version of Kazaa without the Spyware and adverts.

But please Only download songs that you have been out and purchased on CD. Like has been said support the artist who spent so much time making the music.

I you don't buy the Cd's then the artist cannot make more good music.

I just can't be arsed to copy the .wav files from the cd's and convert them into .mp3 files so I can play on my PC.

one way or another I will always buy the Song's I have downloaded.

I don't usually run the programs...

Only if a certain person suggests a piece of good music.. Katie. ;) lol I may download to see If I like it. If I do, I go out and buy the Album asap.

eg, I downloaded White Stripes Seven Nation Army, and Evanescence Bring me to life. and OMG they good. So in my Hifi System now I have Evanscence Album on cd tray one and White stripes in slot two.

Then clubmix 2003 In slot 3 :P

Well...for the most part I'm into underground punk music - the kind that doesn't get major records to release there albums. Kazaa (and of course fan sites) are usually the only places to find it.
Not that I don't download other music...just I use it for what it was intended for as well.

Well then, I guess the "question of the day" is what was it intended for?

*sorry -- just had to ask.

Except when the money goes to the RIAA who should ******************************** and stop suing anyone and everyone to just make a point. Ah who cares anyways.

LOL I can honestly say that I went to the Finch concert last year just because I downloaded their music.

What do you think they make more money on? A CD sale or a concert ticket sale??
