Anyone seen this?

http://www.bored.com/videos/play/241/Se ... irror.html

Seems to be the next major type of computer software, only it doesn't seem to be sticking to the computer.

I wasn't sure if i heard this correctly, but aren't Microsoft going to base their next version of Windows around this technology?

Making multi-touch displays is all the rage with electronics experimenters today, there's been lots of stuff on hackaday featuring peoples projects. I can totally see how this will make it to the main stream, especially with that HP touch screen thing.

That's pretty cool. I can see it being used for weather/traffic/stock alerts for the business man/woman in the morning as they get ready.

Looks a little bulky though. You would definitely need space to put this somewhere unless it was built into the house.

This is really cool ... I just think it might still be quite some time before something like this is made commercially available ...

What ever happened to that MS coffee table\computer\touch screen\entertainment center thing? I forget what it is called, and maybe it was only a concept and not actually a production thing.

Didn't Starbucks invest in that system? I thought they were gonna start using along with their music stuff that they started to introduce the other year.

Seemed like a clever idea at the time.

The Surface is cool, but anyone with little kids knows the dangers of having a glass coffee table so this is kind of the same thing.
