You can bet government can control search engine.... look China.

If you are looking for tibet in china version of google or yahoo for sure will not be showed Dalai Lama. There are filters made by search engine itself. To google and yahoo freedom is less inportant then money!

I just read that also Iphone and apple will start to send in the chinese market iphone filtered... also seraching from iphone you will not find anything there using iphone bought in china... and several addons and plugin will not be available.
