Hello, my name is Kay. I'm a storyteller, editor and English teacher. I'm from Hastings, UK. I've recently cobbled together a website using Frontpage 2003 (I know, sorry). Started fiddling with it, and discovered there are a million better ways of building a website, and have started on MkII. Have been picking info from this siite - good stuff! I'm a senior at my high school about to graduate distinguished amongst my peers, which makes me happy since I have been working my a$$ off to get here.

Anyways I will have a son coming in late September or early October. I'll most likely be in the US Air Force in a few months. I plan on doing 10 months of basic training and doing missile tech.

I have toyed with many versions of linux and a little of unix I worked for RAGE.NET as a webmaster so i know my html and all that fun stuff. My big thing right now is wireless im having way too much fun with this stuff!

name is spin, I run a site about firespinning, I joined this board a long time ago when I knew absolutely nothing about websites or how to make them. I stopped posting because A: I felt overawed by the standard of knowledge on here B: lost access to the email account I used and forgot my username/password for here due to the infrequent amount of postage. I have dropped by and lurked from time to time though using the search function which has always gotten my query answered.

I do now know a little more about sites, how to build them and how the net works but am still a total noob compared to most of the people on here. I may be able to add something though if I am quick enough with the reply button on new posts. However, I am here to learn, I have managed to get my site together through hard work, making lots of mistakes and most importantly learning from them. My advice to anyone thatis truggling to learn this kind of stuff : Back Up your files when playing and use test versions of whatever you are making. Also : go ask questions wherever you can but title the thread appropriately, give as much info as you can about your difficulty and be polite/cool

My site now gets a million hits a month regularly, I dont know wether or not this is impressive but it is to me seeing as its a homepage to all intents and purposes. Its original objectives have been fulfilled, it has put lots of smiles on lots of faces due to the fact that people have learned how to do a given move (always makes a person grin.) It has a very friendly community that welcomes new starters as a matter of course and encourages them with their learning. I love it and so do the users

But yes.. now that the main work is out of the way and I can get back to personal interests such as my spinning *sigh.. been too long* I have the time to play and to fill the many gaps in my knowledge of site building. Hence me registering here, there are plenty of other places I could do this too I know but I like this place for some reason, maybe its the style (a coincidence that was very much a surprise to me I promise)

Yes... thats enough I think, hello to you people, I will try to answer questions where I can ut will most likely be asking more. If anyone wants to know anything about the beautiful, funky and meditative art of fire spinning though, gimmee a shout, believe me its a total escape from the horrors of rampant coding/website problems and I would get to feel useful lol
