I am still studying, i am 4th year taking up bs computer engineering at the central colleges of the philippines. I invisioned myself to be a successfull engineer someday and probably be in the web industry. I first thought of having a website just for hobby, but now it turned out to be an addiction that i can't get off,by the way i really don't want to get this addiction off because i really like it and building my own website and finishing it makes a fulfillment within myself. i expect this forum to be a knowledge portal for myself.

I have been to Fischers for a Law enforcement class so I know where Grinner is from personally. Nice town.
I have a few questions that I could use some other Webmasters for suggestions. I work as a webmaster for Fay's Marina.

The biggest problem I have it using data from a form and outputing it to an XML file and then email that file. I have some ideas but I am currently stumped.

My name is Lisa. I just bought a computer last year.4-20-05. So far I have not had the best of luck. The first computer was faulty and gave me problems from the beginning. After much arguing with hp I finally received a new computer. Nothing like the one I paid for. The new one was a compaq instead of hp. I know they make both, but I also know I was given a cheaper model with a lot less of the little niceties of the first. Oh well what can you do? I had argued with them for almost a year before they replaced the previous bad one. I was not going to argue any more. Personally I think they count on that. I live in wisconsin. I am ambivalent about that no I am not from here. So I am not the usual football fan alcoholic that seems to be prevalent in this area. My main interest in life is to improve the quality of our food. I spend a lot of time questioning the food companies and their policies on what they put in our food. I think that our tax dollars are wasted on the fda. I personally do not think that industrial cleaner belongs in cereal, or antibiotics fed to cows, chickens, pigs, and turkeys. Nor should antibiotics be sprayed on fruits and vegetables. So I make an effort to complain to the powers that be to get it changed. I guess that is about it for the intro. I am hoping to get help for my computer here since I seem to be missing windows components and I tried one suggestion already and it did not work. C files/properties/tools/fix i also tried to do the system restore no such luck.
Lisa
Thanks for your time and patience.

I joined about 5 seconds ago. I want to improve my websites. But everyone wants to do that, don't they? I want more opinions than I've been getting. Again, pretty standard. I guess all of that standard stuff comes into play. And why shouldn't it?
Honestly, they thing that attracted me to this board most was the black theme. There are tons of webmaster boards just like this. I'm a member of a few. But none have a black theme, and I love black backgrounds on stuff.
My sites are simple. I sacrifice showing off what I can do for usability in what I do put up. Why should I make something that requires the latest plugin?
I'm a psychology major at Winthrop University. I hope to study weirdos like me. It should be fun.
I'm planning on writing my thesis on the scientific aspects of time travel and what scientific theories make it both possible and impossible. I'll be tying in movies to prove my points.

I'm an amateur web designer (which means I play around in Dreamweaver a lot), and am teaching myself Python. I also have quite a few problems with my outdated hardware and will be posting a question shortly.
I play D&D every friday night, and enjoy it tremendously.

This is all new to me. I thought this might be a good place to learn and maybe meet someone that could help me in my Internet endeavors. I fell for a bunch of BS in the past and decided to start my own website, but I don't know diddily-squat about building websites.
My Father was a Game Warden in a little town in South-East Texas. My mom stayed at home till I was 15, then worked for a dentist and several doctors over her career.
I led a simple life. Worked hard. Played hard. Learned right and wrong. I grew up working in the Rice Fields for a neat man, Dr. Dave as he was known. But, I decided at a very young age that fighting snakes and raising Rice was not for me.
I worked about 3 miles from my home here in Baytown, TX making plastic for about 25 years. I guess I was lucky...At least I got a transfer.
Now, I am currently employed in the oil and gas industry. It is about an hour's commute to Texas City where I am in charge of unloading Crude Oil ships, as well as loading Gasoline, Jet Fuel, and so forth.... Basically anything and everything that goes into and out of a Refinery.
My biggest accomplishment in my life is almost complete.......actually we moved into my new house a couple of months ago, but there are some loose ends I need to finish.....fence........grass........landscaping......
I went to an internet conference a few months ago and started my website, but my house has really taken all my time.
I want to get my website up and going, but the demons want to deny me.........
I read a lot, and found something interesting the other day:
We are all creations of God. If so, then we are "of God".
God is worthy.
Therefore we are worthy.
Desire----comes from latin language meaning......"of the Father"
If your desire is from the Father, then it is "of the father" and therefor worthy.
He would not give you the desire, if it were not within your ability to acquire it.
So, GO FOR IT!
No, I'm not a Holy Roller.......but it has helped me.
My desire is to help other people avoid some of the mistakes I have made and help them with my website and through direct mail. Ok, so I intend to make a profit.......But, unlike many of the "Guru's" that I am familiar with, I don't depend on my profits to live on (easy to spot a poor man, huh?).....just a little side-line spending money would be nice.
Oh, I am a divorced father of Three Wonderful Children.
I have two daughters:
Kristina (Nina) is 25 and a school teacher! Hurray! The first college grad. in my family. I am so proud of her accomplishments. I know how hard it is trying to go to college and working too. I just wish I had had her drive so I could have finished!
I have another Daughter Kelsey, who graduated just this year from High School ! Yeah, Kelsey!
My son Frank Jr. is 15 and attends High School in Baytown TX. Keep it up Frankie!
I also have a girlfriend: Maricela
Her dog is named Bandit.
My desire is to get some extra money coming in so I can spend more time with my family. Which is probably my biggest regret......spending too much time working overtime, not spending it with my family.
