Hullo everyone. C is fine when addressing me. I have a great interest in computers and web design and absolutely no talent what so ever. I marked myself as beginner for that reason rather then to represent the amount of time I've spent trying to learn. It is rather pathetic really. I'm having some issues with my old IBM Thinkpad, and am trying to fix it. That is the main reason I'm here. Hopefully some of the knowledgeable veterans here can impart some of there wisdom onto me. Haha...I just want this old clunker to work normally, I'm stuck in safe mode!

The company I work for has recently appointed me webmaster for a website they own. I think they gave me the job for two reasons. 1) They have no idea about website programming and saw my aptitude with HTML to mean that I could work on any website easily - and 2) No one else would do the job for the money they were offering

The website I'm now webmaster of is PHP/MySQL and I'm slowly picking up things as I play around with different features, however I'm currently out of depth for making the sorts of changes I believe need to be made to improve the site and get more traffic/sign ups/business. I'm hoping that I'll be able to learn more from this forum and asking questions about making changes. If I'm at all able to help anyone with what knowledge I have then I'd be more than happy to.
