That's absolutely absurd.

I spent the entire weekend moving out of my apartment of 3 years and into a house I'm renting for the summer. I discovered that I've accumulated a lot of crap in those three years. I probably filled the dumpster twice.

I'll post pictures in a bit once I find my camera... it's packed away somewhere.

lol. Are you kidding? Not only did they not get their deposit back, they are going to get sued for damages, cleanup and repairs and unpaid rent.

There is a TV show that I watch occassionally that goes into peoples homes that are very similar to that and give them a makeover. I think it is called Clean House. People are pretty nasty.

How was the smell?

The smell wasn't as bad as you'd think. But pretty bad. Mostly stale cigarettes and rotten food.

As far as the rust in the sinks and tub, that's fairly common iron residue from well water. But if you clean once or twice a week, you'd never get that. There's cleansers for that that actually make it pretty easy to clean up.

As far as kids. Sad part is the kids are the ones that trashed the place. The parents that we rented it to had moved out a few months back and left an 18 year old (who wasn't ever supposed to be there to begin with), his girlfriend (who was evicted out of a neighboring Park), a 12 year old, and the girlfriend's kid. None of them ever were supposed to be there at all.

Unfortunately, the eviction process is tedious, and much too long. Took nearly 60 days total from start to finish where we could legally retake possession.

What I can't figure out is how the heck do you crack a toilet from top to bottom like that?

Is that place even going to be safe for people to live in later?

One funny thing is in one picture, there is a book on the edge of the counter called "Healthy New Choices" http://www.atnoproductions.com/private/ ... 81_jpg.htm

Just be glad it wasn't a crack or heroin house. It would still look like that, but there would be needles, broken glass pipes, and all kinds of other "goodies" hidden in strange places.

When I was an early teenager I worked for a landlord on the southside of St. Pete occasionally cleaning up after tennants like that. Because of the dangerous stuff they left behind it would take days to clean it up because you constantly had to watch very carefully where you stepped, put your hands, leaned, etc.
Strong with this one, the sudo is.

Holy smoking pipes! That is not the way to live. How could anyone possibly live in that dumpster? (Not meaning the houses, but any house that is trashed like that)...
