Ok, this is the most freakin coolest badest arse thang I've ever seen!!!

You can create a TTF from your very own handwriting. It's online and it's free. I just did mine and it worked. It's Amazing.

Go to this web site

Download and fill out the template.

Scan it.

Submit it back to the web site.

Then download the TTF of your very own handwriting.

schaaaawing!!!

(The site may be a little slashdotted, you can imagine)

If it's TTF then Linux will support it..

Linux has supported True Type fonts with the right software for a few years now - and many graphics applications (Gimp, ImageMagick, etc) will support TTF fonts, even via command line.

If your not familiar with the term "slashdotted", it's based on a website/forum popular amongst fans of Linux, Open Source development, et al.

Used as a descriptor it means that a site is overwhelmed by traffic and therefore unavailable to most requests. I had to click on submit a couple times until I got mine back.

I just found this out. It would probally work better if the file was a .gif format. I was trying to use a jpg file
I think it worked this time. If u want to get my font. I will post it. wait that is a good idea. Post ur font when u are done only if u want. A link to it so we can download it and use it.

I have this all written up and i am going to post and edit when i get it to work i am 2 lazy to copy and then post when it works

I found that I kept getting the error message because it prefers the file to be under a meg, I just changed the gif file to 16 colours (since its black and white anyways) which pulled the file size down immensly, also the Fontifier - maximum size is 1280 x 960.
