for clarrification, switch means that you got a new PC with a non-windows OS (or somehow removed the windows OS and replaced it with a non-windows OS).

What about those who run multiple OS's? (Dual-booters, several PCs, etc.)

I am going to stay on windows mainly because all the games I play arew for windows and many of the apps i use are for windows. But at home I am still using windows 98. I use windows XP pro at school, since it's hard to do MS Windows programing on a unix/mac machine.

I have one Windows machine running 2000 (my main PC), one machine running '98SE (2K's too buggy with my USB gear), and the rest run Linux.

Yup, 2K Pro is the best NT based Windows OS, and '98SE is the best non-NT based...

I like 2K for most of my stuff, but I still use '98SE for games and the USB connectivity.
