Where can I get one?

More importantly, it needs to be free!

what do you mean by download manager? Something that can resume files you are downloading from IE or what?

I think that's what he's looking for, but the free ones are usually bloated with adware.

http://www.shareaza.com Program has ability to work as both a browser DL manager, & a kazzaa like manager. Not too shabby, When I tried it awhile ago there was NOTHING bundled with it. That was version 1.10.8.4 have no clue what they are on now.

I think bittorrent is just a way of downloading thing, you download this one small file, then you use a bittorrent program (from sourceforge) and with the file the program searches around and downloads chunks of the real file to your hard drive from multiple sources.
i have never used it though, so my explaination might be off.

But firefox/opera/mozilla all have built in download managers. aside from opera, with it's one banner ad, they have no ads or anything.

Nah nah Im talkin about a DOWNLOAD MANAGER, yes where you can download files and resume then later, but not a p2p program, rather just clicking on links in Firefox and downloading stuff. Firefox has its own manager but it doesnt support resumes, so if your PC gets switched off, you have to start again!

If the manager doesnt integrate with Firefox its cool, but it needs to have a function where you can enter the url and download.

Any ideas?
